Individual Learning for Every Child: Data Usage for Personalized Instruction
Statewide data systems offer an opportunity for states to collect data from districts for accountability purposes. But, how do we leverage this investment to use the data to improve instruction at the teacher and classroom levels? This group will delve into teacher training in the use of data, policies about access to student data, as well as implementation challenges of bridging data and curriculum.

1.By 2010 every teacher has access to and use daily longitudinal student level academic data.
2. By 2011, every school district will have a system of professional development in place to support teachers in generating, interpreting, and using data reports, and alignning teaching with the learning needs of each student.
3. By 2012, every state will have policies regarding data usage that includes requirements for teacher use of data for individualized larning.

Create a diverse steering committee to formulate a proof of concept, to be completed in eight months, concerning how to use, analyze data and make instructional decisions.

2) By 2011, every school district will have have in place a systemic, ongoing, professional development plan that supports meaningful use and interpretation of data to inform individualized learning.

By 2011, every school in every district will be using data teams to implement a continuous improvement cycle using data to inform instructional practice and personalized learning for each student.
